Un centenar de persones va assistir a l’acte, que va tindre lloc al Sícoris Club. “Hem cregut que era el moment de fer un homenatge públic a Luis, per la seua trajectòria com a atleta i com a entrenador, perquè són molts els que es van formar amb ell”, va explicar JordiAmorós, directiu de l’AVALL, que compta amb uns 120 membres. Paganini, com se l’ha cone- gut per la seua afició al violí, és el darrer mite vivent de l’atletisme lleidatà. Més de cent vegades internacional i amb un brillant palmarès, va rebre el 1972 la insígnia d’or i brillants del Barça, club en el qual va militar. A la cita ni hi vafaltar Manel González, el segon esportista
olímpic que va donar Lleida, que va ser als Jocs de Los Angeles’84. “Luis és com un pare per a mi i aquestes coses no s’obliden”.
